It was about time I illustrated one of my beloved It was about time I illustrated one of my beloved pesto recipes🌿 Here's my Vegan Thai Basil Pesto - 150g/5.3oz. cashews 6 tbsp. melted (extra virgin) coconut oil 4 1/2 tsp. lime juice 45g/1.6oz. Thai basil 3-5 garlic cloves salt & pepper to taste 3 tbsp. water Just blitz them all and you'll get beautiful, fragrant and nutrient packed pesto that goes with anything (I personally like to mix it with rice noodles). Here's one of many visions I have for my dream kit Here's one of many visions I have for my dream kitchen wall - As you approach the kitchen shelf your eyes are immediately drawn to the stunning display of colorful mason jars arranged in a neat row. The jars are of different sizes and shapes, but all share the same charming, rustic aesthetic. The shelf is bathed in natural light, which causes the colors of the jars to appear even more vibrant and lively. The hues are so bright and cheerful that they seem to radiate positivity and energy. The jars have intricate patterns etched onto them, adding an extra layer of visual interest to the display. The jars are also adorned with lids of different materials, including metal and wood, adding a touch of rustic charm❤️ I mentioned my obbsession about kitchen jars a couple times in the past. But do you know what else is great in bibimbap? Ssamjang! - Korea's gift to the world one MUST try in their lifetime😌 It is basically a combination of gochujang and fermented soybean paste "doenjang", and its complex umami flavor makes the condiment extremely addictive. I actually have been using ssamjang for my bibimbap more often than gochujang these days. Classic flavor combo of strawberry and cheese in a healthier version, but still delicious and satisfying😋 Thailand is a paradise for tropical fruit lovers like me. Mango, banana, papaya, custard apple, mangosteen🤤..My mouth waters just thinking about them right now. And to my surprise I even found amazing strawberries at super affordable price from a little farmer's street stall in my neighborhood! I feel so lucky😃 Fun fact about 🍓here - a word "strawberry" is used as a slang for calling someone a liar or fake among girls in Thailand. And telling someone "You strawberry!" equals "You lying b....!"😅So if you're in Thailand, use this F(ruit) word carefully😏 통밀빵에 딸기, 코티지치즈를 얹고 마누카허니 조금, 검은참깨 조금과 민트를 곁들인 토스트를 만들어 봤어요. 태국이 열대과일의 천국인건 유명하죠. 망고, 바나나, 파파야, 석가, 망고스틴같이 제가 사랑하는 과일들이 천지사방(?)에 있어 참 행복해요. 거기다 운좋게 집근처 노점에서 너무 맛있고 비싸지 않은 딸기를 파는 농부님까지 발견했답니다. 맛있는 딸기 정말 비싸잖아요. 참, 태국의 어린 여자들사이에선 딸기의 영어발음 strawberry 가 거짓말쟁이 또는 그 비슷한 나쁜욕으로 사용된다고해요. 귀엽고 맛있는 딸기가 무슨 죄라고🥲...한국도 곧 제철 딸기들이 풍성한 계절이 오겠네요. 맛있는 봄과일 많이 드시고 건강하세요! #toasttuesday #strawberry🍓 #goodmoodfood #eatwellbewell #healthyeats

I just finished a huge dinner my hubs made - Julia Child's boeuf bourguignon, frites and steamed broccoli with lots of 🍷🍷followed by strawberry shortcake🍓🍓I'm going to have to eat healthy for the next couple of days...with quite a bit of smoothies in order😉 My love for yogurt and fruit smoothies started when I made some major changes to my eating habit. And one of them was to start eating breakfast, which I've grown to love so much that ended up becoming 80-90% of my content here. A smoothie bowl for two with yogurt, figs, berries A smoothie bowl for two with yogurt, figs, berries, dark chocolate and coconut flakes. I put quite a lot of time and effort creating this smoothie illustration and that's probably why this is one of my favorites among all my art works. What can I say, I just love eating and drawing fruits! And how great is it that IG has smoothie songs! I literally typed in "smoothie" to find the music for my post😅 There were so many to choose from but this one was the best. The lyrics are in Korean - it's saying "you'll fall in love with my sweet and tangy scent (smoothie's singing the song clearly😌). I'm cooler than ice cream and richer than slush, you will think of me in hot summer..." this song is so cute!🥰 Studying and illustrating food has definitely given me a fresh perspective, and also made me surround myself with it in almost all aspects of my life (I'm not complaining☺️). I know I'm a little late but Happy New Year guys! I know I'm a little late but Happy New Year guys! Here's my basil illustration that is perfect for a new year decoration or for the coming spring🌿 A few weeks ago I briefly talked about something that I've been working on, something that will allow me to share my love for food and visual art. And I'm finally ready to show you what it is! I've opened a little online store for my printable wall art 🖼️ This illustration was inspired by the basil that I grew, harvested and made delicious pesto with. You can read all about it in my latest post 👉🏻 link's in profile. And please don't forget to check out my shop for more wall arts😊 I've been doodling food and ingredients every now and then to brainstorm my cooking and plating, and of course for fun. After I got my Wacom drawing tablet, some of those doodles started to transform into more proper illustrations. And one day I thought "Why not take all this to the next level and create something fun and beautiful to look at?" With a design background, I've always loved making pretty things as much as cooking so it just made perfect sense that I combined two biggest passions of mine. Most of my artworks so far were inspired by colorful ingredients of nature and recipes that I created with them over the past few years. And I know you know how much I love my colors😊 I understand that this isn't exactly a conventional "food" or "recipe" post you normally expect but I'm quite excited to show you that there are so many different ways to embrace beautiful food around us. And despite a lot of work that goes into it, making an effort to examine and draw food and ingredients in my own style is something that I truly enjoy.
